The Eastern Cape Department of Education MEC, Fundile Gade in collaboration with Transport MEC, Weziwe Tikana- Gxothiwe officially handed over 170 bicycles to 10 schools in the OR Tambo Education, Trinset Education Institute.
The bicycles handover forms part of government's plans to ensure all learners have access to quality public education irrespective of their location from school.
Furthermore, the benefiting learners came from far flung areas distant from their schools and were awarded as part of the back to school campaign.
